Defining Reality

Leaders define reality for and guide the values of those they lead.

How is this true? Are you comfortable with this?  Are you comfortable admitting this as a leader, as a follower?

This was recently brought to mind when talking with a friend who returned from a weekend trip, very excited and clearly influenced by the time and it's leaders.  Here is another way of saying it:  Those who have influence provide ways of thought and sometimes rules of thought/interpretation for those who receive their input.

Does that seem more real to you?  It's the same thing.

Becoming Fruitful

I want to say right away that there is a danger that comes with learning, because it brings a gratification of it's own. This can be deceitful, because we know that we aren't supposed to be hearers only, but also doers. The gratification that comes with learning can come before we do anything. If we take learning or understanding as an end in themselves, we will not follow on to do what the understanding was given to us for. We have to realize this or the understanding that we accumulate will only further bind us in a place of self-deceived disobedience. The Spirit and Order of the Age

The spirit and order of the age is contrary to and seeks to resist the Lord and his motives.

We are beginning to realize there is an order to the Kingdom of God, tho few know much about it.

We should also realize that there is an order that the spirit of the age seeks to impose upon us.  This same order is what is referred to in the scripture when it declares that this “whole world” lies under the power of the evil one.  This world – this eon or age – is under the control of darkness. What does Jesus want?

What does Jesus want?  A lot of what we think about hovers around this question.  For believers, this question is central, sometimes said in delight, sometimes spoken in exasperation.  Sometimes we don't know what He wants when we want to.

Our approach to this subject will guide our lives.  We may get closer, become indifferent, fall away, and sometimes even fight against what He wants.  I know I have done all these things at different times, and at times, more than one simultaneously!  I continue to appreciate God's patience and love,  which make He and I compatible.
