Deception causes us to distrust and not to recognize the Lord's hand in our trouble. You are reaching out to us, trying to help us, but we respond to You as if You are our enemy, a threat.

Deception offers poison repackaged as nourishment.

The promise of ‘change' when sold as ‘progress' is a deception when no progress results from the change, and is often used as a stalling technique, or to postpone the inevitable by those whose credibility is being threatened or is at risk.

When we mistakenly think we know how to be in a team and what we really know is how to be in charge, we do damage to ourselves and others, especially in the area of (potential) collaboration. ‘In this place of deception, our leadership grows at the expense of the minimizing of other leaders, especially those who are emerging.
