5 Keys of Leadership

At the event with Nicaraguan Pastors

A few weeks ago I was invited to speak to 30+ Nicaraguan Pastors who are in the States doing a study intensive for their Bachelor's degree.  It was an honor.  I was asked to speak about leadership, and after looking over the notes I put together, thought it might be a blessing to you also.

There are many keys to leadership but these 5 Keys for Leadership have been significant in my life.  I have often not done well with these and have learned a lot by missing the mark and bearing the cost of error.  Hopefully this will be a way for you to get the benefit of my investment without making the mistakes for yourself.

I have been studying the subject of leadership for more than 20 years.  I have read very many books on the subject, have written a little bit about it, and have had numerous experiences in ministry and business, being in charge and also being a part of a team.  Leadership is a worthwhile subject to understand, as very little gets accomplished without leadership.  If you want to be fruitful and effective, growing in your ability to bear responsibility well, do your best to get a solid understanding of this subject.

Juarez 2014 – “One Star missions” – by Vince Corcoran @princevince13

There are “missions trips” and there are “ministry trips” – the difference is subtle at times and staggering at others. Scott and I talked about “Five Star Missionaries” a couple of times while in Juarez or en route.

[We all know these people, the ones that require offerings and accommodations and special treatment and a schedule that keeps them from being “overwhelmed by the people” (you know, those pesky people you went on the trip to minister to?) – let's not forget the food requirements, they are allergic to the green M&Ms and they need an albino wolfhound to pet in the back room after each meeting.] Continue reading “Juarez 2014 – “One Star Missions””

Juarez

yo-y-vinceVince Corcoran – @princevince13 and I are headed to Juarez this weekend for a quick trip to visit Rene and Kate Nevarez and their ministry.  We would very much appreciate your prayer support, that the Lord would keep us on the proper path, that we would give everything He sends us to give, and receive everything He sends us to receive.  Please take a moment now to – pause – and pray for us.

Thanks!

We may get a chance to post some updates while we are there, if so, they will probably be on the FXMissions Facebook Page.

Hello All,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our family's updates. Caleb takes a lot of time and thought when he writes them, and enjoys the writing process. For me, I don't enjoy writing and I am trying to finish this update before Iris wakes up from a nap. So here I go…..
So much has happened in my life in the last few months so I am excited to share with you all some stories.
