First Morning Costa Rica

There is a great and effectual door opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.  This is from 1Corinthians 16, and it was impressed on me as I got up this morning and started to pray and think.  There was a mishap with Greg Millsaps flight last night and instead of arriving at 11:30pm, he is being told he will have to wait until the same flight tonight.  That is a loss of 24 hours on an already short schedule.  Doesn't seem that cool.

Preparation

trainingThe time between when we sense or know something and when it takes place is given to us for preparation.  If we do not use this time for it's intended purpose, we will likely not benefit from the foreknowledge.

I often observe people wasting the time that is available for preparation. The things that we are called to do, our destinies, require preparation. If we know that God has called us to something, maybe something big or something far reaching, we have a responsibility to begin to prepare for it, as soon as we know.  Often it seems the bigger and more far-reaching our vision is, the longer and more difficult the preparation time can be.  Another fact that emphasizes our need for focused preparation. The Establishment

establishmentObserve “The Establishment” (of human institutions) and the pressure it exerts toward compliance – it's suspicion and self-righteousness. To these things I must not react, as Jesus did not, but rather do everything I see my Father doing.

The establishment, holding the truth in unrighteousness, seeking to limit and control the truth, to prevent it's freedom and influential impact, is storing up wrath for itself against the day if wrath. This much is routinely visible. Continue reading “The Establishment”
